Thinking about the economic cycles of industrial and technological revolutions
It’s taken for granted that the cycle is as it is, what if it stops being so?
If we anticipate the initial inequality derived from the beginning of a revolution, we will not avoid the revolution but we will avoid its initial effects of increasing inequality.

Talent attraction
If incentives are offered everywhere, eventually local talent will be offered incentives to stay where they are.
If a lot of “high” talent goes to the same place –city, region–, what will be the (“not so high”) local talent be doing?
What are the chances for B players if everyone wants only A players?
Not to mention, A players want to be paid as A players, so the companies attracting them needs some size, what gives large companies a powerful advantage.

4 days workweek
A serial entrepreneur brags about how a large global corporation improved productivity after enforcing the 4-day work week, something said entrepreneur implemented earlier…
He did not mention how, at his company, the small size and pressure from management to deliver demos, products and keep customers satisfied made it impossible to meet the 4-day workweek and increased overtime.
You should compare apples to apples….
George Bernard Shaw
El cerebro de un necio puede transformar la filosofía en tontería, la ciencia en superstición y el arte en pedantería.
The brain of a fool can transform philosophy into folly, science into superstition, and art into pedantry.
Looking for that quote in english (which I didn’t found) I found this other one:
If you have an apple and I have an apple and we exchange these apples then you and I will still each have one apple. But if you have an idea and I have an idea and we exchange these ideas, then each of us will have two ideas.
J. C. R. Licklider (1960), “Lick” quoted by Alan Kay
Computers are destined to become interactive intellectual amplifiers for everyone in the world universally networked worlwide.

The 3rd can be the 1st
The 3rd could be 1st in size, if in your comparison you decide not to account the real 1st and 2nd, much larger 😎
Like 3rd is 30K, but it’d be 1st if you don’t account 1st (50K) and 2nd (40K).
Or 3rd is the 1st under 35K… crazy.
Wayne Gretzky, “a good hockey player goes to where the puck is; a great one goes to where the puck will be!” …
…he didn’t mean tracking the puck, he meant getting into a place where somebody could pass him the puck where he could make a goal.
So what he did is he looked at the entire configuration, saw where the future was going to be, and went to that place.
