I have remembered this Tim Cook&#8217;s anecdote about \u00abspeed\u00bb from <a href=\"https:\/\/firstround.com\/review\/speed-as-a-habit\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">First Round Review&#8217;s Speed as a Habit blog post<\/a>.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>There\u2019s a funny story about my old pal <a href=\"https:\/\/www.apple.com\/es\/leadership\/sabih-khan\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong class=\"Annotation -strong\">Sabih Khan<\/strong><\/a>, who worked in Operations at Apple when I was a product manager there. In 2008, he was meeting with <strong class=\"Annotation -strong\">Tim Cook<\/strong> about a production snafu in China. Tim said, \u201cThis is bad. Someone ought to get over there.\u201d Thirty minutes went by and the conversation moved to other topics. Suddenly Tim looked back at Sabih and asked, &#8216;Why are you still here?&#8217; Sabih left the meeting immediately, drove directly to San Francisco Airport, got on the next flight to China without even a change of clothes.
