Disney<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The quote&#8217;s origins are pretty interesting.\u00a0It turns out the quote was\u00a0something like <strong>the in-house motto of WED<\/strong> (which references Disney&#8217;s initials), a <strong>design and architectural company that Walt Disney himself formed to build Disneyland.<\/strong> The final lines of the actual quote go on to read, <em><strong>\u201cWe\u2019re always exploring and experimenting. At WED, we call it Imagineering \u2014\u00a0the blending of creative imagination with technical know-how.\u201d<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p>WED evolved <em>\u00abImagineering\u00bb<\/em> into <em><strong>an intricate and well-documented set of creative principles<\/strong>, and later, there was\u00a0even a business book published promoting them <strong>as an innovation toolbox<\/strong>.<\/em> When The Walt Disney Company absorbed WED, Imagineering became part of Disney\u2019s product development DNA.<\/p>\n<p>So there you have it!
