\u00ab\u2026 <\/span>The principles of the lean startup – failing fast and continually iterating and learning \u2013 certainly pose a challenge to traditional processes at corporate behemoths \u2013 but Blank argues that adopting the lean startup model is now \u201cessential for the survival of business.\u201d \u2026<\/i><\/p>\n


<\/i><\/span><\/span> \u2026 Big businesses, Blank said, became so \u201cfocused on execution, they forgot how to innovate. \u2026<\/i><\/span><\/span>

<\/i><\/span><\/span> \u2026 lean startup is now about \u201ccontinuous innovation inside existing companies.\u201d It\u2019s all part of the evolution of business, Blank explained: \u201cNever underestimate [the impact] of stepping out of the box. Think different. Ask, \u2018Why is this different?\u2019 \u201d\u2026<\/i><\/span><\/span>

<\/i><\/span><\/span> \u2026 Big Data analysis doesn’t spell the end of the time-honored business precept of going with your gut, Blank said. Rather he believes using the data to make better decisions is what makes a company \u201cexplosive.\u201d\u2026 <\/i><\/span><\/span>

<\/i><\/span> Risk = Not Getting Your Hands Dirty<\/i><\/span><\/b>
In the end, Blank believes companies get into trouble when they \u201cfail to understand what customers want.\u201d It\u2019s easier to avoid failure if you \u201cbuild a customer-centric business,\u201d Blank said. \u201cYou need to get your hands dirty,\u201d he said.<\/i><\/span>
Thats why Blank warned companies to stop chasing \u201cthe romance\u201d \u2014 the way you think things are, and start pursuing \u201cthe realities\u201d \u2014 the way things actually are.<\/i><\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
